Jaime Hernandez: The 2007 Thomas Jefferson $10 Spouse Coin was the third coin in the First Spouse Program. Since Jefferson did not have a spouse while in office, a design of Liberty was used for the obverse design.

The coins were issued on August 30, 2007. This was a very popular coin because of the Liberty design. The Mint only allowed one coin per household and despite the ordering, the coins still sold out very quickly.
The Mint produced both mint state and proof coins. The mint state coins were being offered by the U.S. Mint at $410.95 each.
