Jaime Hernandez: The 1861 re-punched date Indian Cent appears to be somewhat difficult to locate as few public sales have been available for this variety. The main pick up points for this variety are on the last 1 digit on the date. The last 1 digit has re-punching to the left of the top of the 1's  serif. Underneath the1 crossbar, there is also re-punching evident which can be easily discerned with the naked eye.
