Jaime Hernandez: The 1958 Proof Franklin Half Dollar is one of the more common dates in the series. Especially if compared to the 1950-1952 Proof Franklin Half's which all have a mintage under 82,000. The 1958 Proof Franklin Half is scarce in grades of PR68 and higher. Anything grading under PR68 is fairly common and can be purchased very inexpensively.
