Jaime Hernandez: This year the Mint discontinued releasing Uncirculated Kennedy Half Dollars into circulation. Instead, it sold the coins directly to the public. The coins were sold in set of rolls or in individual bags.

Each set of rolls consisted of two rolls. One roll contained 20 coins from the Philadelphia Mint and the second one contained 20 coins from the Denver Mint. Each bag contained 200 coins with half of the coins struck at the Philadelphia Mint and the other half struck at the Denver Mint.

Issue Date: The Mint began sales of the 2002-P Kennedy Half Dollars on November 25, 2002.

Rolls Issue Price: Each 2 Coin Roll Sets had a sale price of $35.50 if purchased directly from the U.S. Mint.

Bags Issue Price: Each Bag containing 200 coins had a price of $135 if purchased directly from the U.S. Mint.
