Jaime Hernandez: The 2003-D Kennedy Half Dollar did not get issued for circulation. Therefore, the mintage was relatively small compared to most coins in the series. Most examples have been preserved in Gem condition that up to about MS66 examples are very affordable. In MS67 they become very scarce. In MS68 or higher they are rare and very difficult to find.
