Ron Guth: The Eliasberg example (PCGS PR65) was offered at $300,000 by Albanese Rare Coins, Inc. on page 96 of the March 2005 issue of the Numismatist.

David Hall: There are only 4 known proofs, and two of them are permanently impounded. The Smithsonian Institution has one and the American Numismatic Society collection also has one. The two collectible specimens are from two great collections. The Louis Eliasberg collection had a specimen and John Pittman had one that was part of an original 1846 proof set!
