Coin Facts

The first feature you encounter at the top of the Information Table is the coin’s Rarity Statistics. This information is extremely important, because mintage figures alone can be misleading. Even though a coin may have a high mintage, it’s possible that there may be few survivors, particularly for older coins.

You’ll see the mintage of the particular coin, and the estimated number of survivors, which is converted to a numismatic rarity scale of 1 - 10. You can also see relative rarity, which is a rarity rank within either the type or series.
